We believe that every child is uniquely created by God. Jiu-Jitsu inherently helps kids develop their physical, cognitive, mental and emotional skills in a positive way. Using drills, games, and activities designed to stimulate brain and body, as well as healthy competition, we strive to keep our kids motivated to pursue Jiu-jitsu. In a nutshell. Our task is very simple. We do whatever we can to help kids fall in love with Jiu -Jitsu. If they love it, then they’ll do it! The rest is easy…
Here are the many reasons for kids to try Jiu-Jitsu(BJJ)

What makes Seedz different?
Having the privilege of being around Jiu-Jitsu for almost three decades, I have gotten to know many elite athletes, gym owners, and instructors. As a lifelong learner myself, I am not afraid to ask questions to people I admire. Through these relationships, I was able to collaborate and compile what I believe is the best approach to learning Jiu-Jitsu. There are key some key individuals whom I consider to be the best at what they do. These professionals are what I call my advisory board.
They are:
Curriculum Advisor
Magno Almeida-Black Belt, Gym Owner
Technical Advisor
Allan Goes-Coral Belt, MMA Legend
Motivation Advisor
Brian Sumner- Black Belt, Pastor, Pro Skater
Attention/Retention (AR) Advisor
Jennifer Mauser- Kindergarten Teacher
These special people are on speed dial when some insight is needed.

Gabe’s Jiu-Jitsu journey began in the late 1990s, where he quickly fell in love with the art. In 1997, he earned his blue belt under Rickson Gracie and continued sharpening his skills while training extensively with Cleber Luciano. Although life eventually pulled him away from consistent training, his connection to Jiu-Jitsu never faded, and he returned to the mats whenever he could.
In 2010, Gabe faced serious health challenges that forced him to step away from training entirely for more than a decade. Doctors warned he might never again withstand the physical demands of Jiu-Jitsu. Later, he was diagnosed with undiagnosed heart failure—devastating news that ultimately became the turning point in his story. Through faith, determination, and the care of outstanding medical professionals, Gabe experienced a remarkable recovery. In time, he was able to breathe easier, move freely, and train better than he had in years.
His comeback began under the mentorship of longtime friend and Coral Belt Allan Goes, who guided him in rebuilding both body and mindset. After two years, Gabe continued training closer to home with Magno Almeida. In January 2026, he was awarded his brown belt by both instructors—an achievement that reflected not only his technical progress, but his resilience and perseverance.
Today, Gabe channels his experience into teaching the next generation. On the mats, he focuses on helping kids build confidence, discipline, respect, and joy through the practice of Jiu-Jitsu—sharing lessons forged through adversity and triumph.

Fun Fun Fun!!! This is where kids have fun, get some exercise, and learn jiu-jitsu with others

Still fun, but with an stronger emphasis on the techniques of jiu-jitsu and self defense. Sparring, submissions, and sport jiu-jitsu begin to play a bigger role.

The last stop before adult class. This is where kids can really start to see the effectiveness of jiu-jitsu. Whether they want to get better for fitness or begin competing, this is where foundations can be laid for a lifelong passion.

Although competitive jiu jitsu can be frightening, we believe it is invaluable for kids to grow. Losing is often a better teacher than winning. While we strive to be the best competitors, the life lessons and skills learned from the process is what we emphasize.
